The Karnataka Health Promotion Trust (KHPT) invites applications for the following positions from talented and committed candidates who are seeking meaningful and challenging assignments for its Sukshema (MNCH) Project        

1.         Programme Specialist:  2 positions, North Karnataka

MBBS /MPH/MBA/MSW or any equivalent post graduate degree in public health with 4-6 years of relevant experience in handling district level programme management.  The Programme Specialist will be in charge of each district project and is required to support the district programme officers in improving the quality and uptake of MNCH services. Position calls for travel within the district.  Knowledge in computer applications is required and should know local language Kannada. Preference will be given to medical doctors who have had experience with handling district health programmes.

2.         Programme Officer:  1 position, North Karnataka

MSW/MPH, Master in Rural Development or Masters Degree in rural management with 4-5 years experience of working on gender, women’s empowerment issues, training and capacity building of different level of functionaries and working experience in Karnataka and/or in-depth understanding of government system. Knowledge of NRHM program and a good understanding of the public health system


Job Responsibilities

  • Planning, implementing and monitoring of Microplanning programme initiative as assigned
  • Designing and developing training and resource materials
  • Organizing, coordinating and supervising training and other project related activities at the district, taluka and village level
  • Monitoring implementation of the project at the district and block level
  • Documentation and Report writing in meetings/workshops conducted in Bangalore for Microplanning.
  • Documentation and Report writing in meetings/workshops conducted in project district/taluka/village where Microplanning.
  • Visiting field to capture findings/observations around Microplanning and ASHA research project.
  • Support in process documentation of microplanning initiatives in the MNCH programme field
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned
  • Coordinate with other MNCH team members, especially community mobilization team members in MNCH programme related works.
  • Coordinate with external consultants for microplanning documentation or other initiatives where consultants may be involved.

 

Above positions demand fluency in Kannada and English (both written & verbal), good computer skills (MS Office), communication skills and working experience with Govt, NGOs & Development sectors. Both the positions involve travel.

Preference will be given to women candidates who have similar experience.
