D-TEAMS stands for diagnosis- triage education, assessment, management and support for positive living. The D-TEAMS approach is a training methodology developed and used to explore the feasibility of the inclusion of a curriculum for chronic care into the pre-service training of medical graduates.
KHPT developed this methodology in partnership with St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in 2011 for undergraduate medical students. Training methodology received encouraging feedback from all the participants. World Health Organisation (WHO) funded D – TEAMS developed as part of the USAID supported Samastha project.
