Deputy Director, HIV care and Support
Michael Babu Raj has been managing HIV/AIDS programme in KHPT since 2007. He manages the state level care and support programme for people living with HIV (PLHIV), with a special focus on women and children.
He possesses extensive experience in co-ordinating and managing large-scale, multi-stakeholder, donor-funded HIV/AIDS projects. He has conducted several training programmes for international, national and regional participants on HIV/AIDS, RCH, and counselling and health issues.
He is a management professional with 19 years of rich and varied experience in project management, research, knowledge management, training and development, strategic planning, organisational development, relationship and team management. He has completed a Fellowship Programme on ‘Infectious Disease & Global Health’ from University of Manitoba, Canada. He is fluent in four languages.
