Technical Advisor, Monitoring & Evaluation, Research & Special Studies
Shajy Isac currently heads University of Manitoba’s research team in India. He has over eighteen years of experience in research and monitoring and evaluation of programmes in India and abroad. He has designed and implemented monitoring and evaluation frameworks for HIV prevention and care, and maternal and child health programmes in India and globally.
He has been providing technical support in epidemic appraisals, and developing monitoring and evaluation framework for programmes in many countries in Asia, Africa and Europe through University of Manitoba Technical Support initiative.
A trained demographer and a statistician, he is a member of various technical working groups both in India and outside. He has spearheaded a number of studies of global relevance. He has authored several peer reviewed papers, which have been published in global journals. He has mentored a number of research students from India and abroad.
He received his PhD from the International Institute of Population Sciences, Mumbai.
