On World Children’s Rights Day (November 20), Lakshmi, a Sphoorthi girl from Koppal, proudly represented her district at the Child Rights Parliament in Bengaluru. With conviction and courage, she raised the urgent issue of teenage pregnancies, urging proactive measures in schools during her interaction with Smt. Laxmi R. Hebbalkar, Hon’ble Minister for Women & Child Development.

The Minister emphasized that parents and adolescent girls must work together to prevent teenage pregnancies, while assuring that the government remains committed to addressing this challenge.
