The KHPT team participated in the 3rd Sukarya International Conference on Public Health and Nutrition (ICPHN 2025), held on 14 & 15 October 2025, in New Delhi under the theme “From India to the World: Advancing Adolescent Health, Nutrition, and Well-being.”

Dr. Prarthana B. S., Thematic Lead – Maternal, Neonatal & Child Health (MNCH), KHPT, Bengaluru, represented KHPT as a speaker in the technical session on Governance, Financing, and Convergence, presenting on the topic “Preconception Care – Start at the Very Beginning.”

Dr. Prarthana highlighted KHPT’s work with eligible couples and the innovative strategies to engage men in preconception and maternal health, supported by frontline workers (FLWs) and government systems. She emphasized the significance of family planning, stating that “it’s important to have family planning before planning a family.” She also highlighted the role of preconception care and nutrition awareness in improving maternal and child health outcomes and shared evidence-based insights from KHPT’s field experiences to strengthen public health and nutrition systems.
