In a significant step toward strengthening India’s public health ecosystem, the National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management–Kundli (NIFTEM-K) and KHPT signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster collaboration on initiatives aimed at improving public health and community well-being. This partnership marks a shared commitment to bridge academic research with ground-level implementation—ensuring that scientific insights and innovations directly benefit communities, particularly in the areas of nutrition, food safety, and public health.
The event also spotlighted the Centre of Excellence for Food Fortification (CEFF) at NIFTEM Haryana, underscoring its role in advancing nutrition and food safety in India. It witnessed active participation and support from key representatives of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFPI), Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), and the Ministry of Education—highlighting strong inter-ministerial collaboration to drive innovation and scale in food fortification efforts.
