The Women’s Health team at KHPT curated a panel discussion on Gender and Health, entitled “Bridging Perspectives: Building from Community-Based Perspectives to Achieve Gender-Transformative Models for Public Health”, at Breakthrough’s REFRAME symposium. The fireside chat on 3^rd September, 2025, at the Ambedkar Internal Centre, New Delhi, featured experts such as Dr. Zoya Ali Rizvi, Deputy Commissioner, National Health Mission, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India; Dr. Nirmala Nair, Co-founder, Ekjut; and Mr. Mohan H L, CEO, KHPT.

The panelists emphasised the importance of listening to and learning from communities, being non-judgemental, and recognising the power of women’s and girls’ leadership and collectives in developing gender-transformative public health interventions. Dr. Mallika Tharakan, SIG Facilitator, moderated the panel.
