The Women’s Health team at KHPT curated a panel discussion on Gender and Health, entitled “Bridging Perspectives: Building from Community-Based Perspectives to Achieve Gender-Transformative Models for Public Health”, at Breakthrough’s REFRAME symposium. The fireside chat on 3rd September, 2025, at the Ambedkar Internal Centre, New Delhi, featured experts such as Dr. Zoya Ali Rizvi, Deputy Commissioner, National Health Mission, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India; Dr. Nirmala Nair, Co-founder, Ekjut; and Mr. Mohan H L, CEO, KHPT.

The panelists emphasised the importance of listening to and learning from communities, being non-judgemental, and recognising the power of women’s and girls’ leadership and collectives in developing gender-transformative public health interventions. Dr. Mallika Tharakan, SIG Facilitator, moderated the panel.
