Dr M K Sudarshan conferred Rajyotsava Award

Dr M.K. Sudarshan, Chairman, Karnataka Covid-19 Technical Advisory Committee, and a Trustee at KHPT, was awarded the Rajyotsava award under the medical category for his services during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Rajyotsava Awards are the second highest civilian honour of the Karnataka and are announced by the Chief Minister on November 1 each year on the occasion of the establishment of the state.

Dr Sudarshan, formerly the Dean/Principal and Professor and Head of Department of Community Medicine, Kempegowda Institute of Medial Sciences, Bengaluru, is a medical doctor with a rich experience of about 44 years as a teacher, consultant and principal investigator, but notably, he has the community’s wellbeing at heart and has involved himself in numerous initiatives to address their needs over the course of his career.
