KHPT delegation presented two abstracts at the 35th Annual State Conference of the Karnataka Association of Community Health (KACH), on November 22 to 23, 2025, at Gulbarga Institute of Medical Sciences in Kalaburagi. This year’s conference theme, titled “Expanding Horizon in Community Medicine – Embracing the Future,” featured a range of activities including scientific paper presentations, thematic sessions, and discussions on innovations in public health practice.

Ms Poornima BS, Deputy Director-Programs at KHPT, delivered an oral presentation titled “Voices of Change: Strengthening Urban Primary Healthcare Through Mahila Arogya Samitis – Evidence from Bengaluru and Mysuru.”

Mr Praveen Kumar, Project Lead at KHPT, presented on “Arogya One Kiosk: A Community-Based Outreach Model in Mysuru and Bengaluru.” Both presentations highlighted KHPT’s initiatives in community engagement, adoption of digital health solutions, and enhancement of urban primary healthcare service delivery.

The conference served as an important platform for sharing knowledge, showcasing emerging research, and exploring government-community collaboration models, alongside scalable innovations pertinent to Karnataka’s public health landscape. KHPT’s contributions significantly enriched discussions around the development of resilient primary healthcare systems and the promotion of community-led health initiatives.
