KHPT, with the support of Healthium Medtech, organized a Block Level Orientation Program under the ECCD Project on 8th May 2026 at the THO Office Hall, Koratagere Taluk, with participation from district and taluk health officials, ICDS representatives, PHC teams and KHPT team.

The orientation aimed to strengthen stakeholders’ understanding of the ECCD approach and the proposed implementation activities in Koratagere Taluk, drawing from the learnings and experiences of the last three years of ECCD program implementation in Kunigal and Tumakuru blocks. The session highlighted the importance of Preconception Care (PCC), anaemia prevention, birth spacing, early pregnancy registration and community awareness in improving maternal and child health outcomes.

The program included discussions on the EC Day process, Game Board activities and selected case stories from Tumakuru Taluk. Participants actively shared field experiences and perspectives related to anaemia, birth spacing and community engagement. The session concluded with an interactive discussion and a collective commitment from stakeholders to support the effective implementation of ECCD activities in Koratagere block.
