KHPT, in collaboration with BIOME Environmental Trust, organised a participatory climate resilience visioning workshop in Gottigere, Bengaluru, bringing together Mahila Arogya Samiti (MAS) members, Urban Health Sanitation and Nutrition Committee (UHSNC) members, and primary health facility staff to identify local climate and health priorities.

Through interactive activities and group discussions, participants drew on their lived experiences to develop a seasonal health and climate calendar, map community risks and assets, and identify key concerns. Discussions explored water, sanitation and hygiene infrastructure, drainage systems, waste sites, flood-prone areas, heat hotspots, potential resilience spaces, and their implications for community health.

The workshop laid the foundation for further work on climate and health literacy, participatory mapping of barriers and enablers, data collection, and water resilience planning in Gottigere. BIOME Environmental Trust contributed technical expertise on water resilience and sanitation, supporting a collaborative approach to building climate-resilient communities.
